Archer Resourcing have exciting new RNLD position available in Newcastle.

If you are committed to providing exceptional patient care and would consider yourself to be a patient and understanding individual, then this role may be for you. As a RNLD you will be helping individuals with learning difficulties of all ages to maintain a positive health and wellbeing, allowing them to live fulfil lives. As well as helping patients to stay healthy, you will also provide support to their families and carers and work together to ensure the patient is receiving individualised care that is suited to their personal needs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage, direct, and evaluate the nursing care for a defined caseload of patients.
• Teaching individuals the skills to look after themselves, both physically and mentally
• Maintain and develop high standards of nursing care, reflecting the beliefs about professional nursing practice
• Patient Assessment, syringe driver/palliative care, experience
• provide exceptional nursing care to housebound patients.
• Carry out observation levels; assist service users with their personal care, laundry etc.
• Make sufficient observations and evaluations on patients
• Helping patients to complete everyday tasks, such as personal hygiene, getting dressed and eating
• Engage with vulnerable people to develop a relationship built on trust

Requirements:

• Experience of research based/reflective practice
• Degree relevant to NMC
• Significant relevant clinical experience
• Knowledge of clinical governance and audit
• Experience of supporting practice development in clinical areas
• Enhanced DBS - on the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today

• Mandatory Training certificates
• Immunisations
• Full driving licence and access to own vehicle is advantageous
