We are looking for a dedicated Accommodation Support Worker to provide an on-site presence at supported accommodation properties. The role involves working independently, including overnight or weekend shifts as required, to ensure the safety and security of both the building and its occupants. This position is crucial in maintaining a stable and supportive living environment while fostering positive community relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site support at accommodation facilities during designated hours, including overnight and weekends.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for residents, preventing disturbances and responding to incidents appropriately.
- Act as a point of contact for residents during non-staff hours, offering assistance as needed.
- Promote cohesive neighbour and community relations, addressing any concerns in a professional manner.
- Monitor the condition and security of the premises, reporting any maintenance or safety issues.
- Work independently while adhering to safeguarding policies and escalation procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of any incidents, interactions, or concerns for reporting to management.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in supported housing, security, or social care is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and confidently in a lone-working environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills to handle various situations effectively.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and housing management.
- Calm and professional approach when dealing with incidents or challenging behaviours.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in housing support, social care, or a similar role (qualifications desirable but not essential).
- Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) required.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.K.
