The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) or Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R) assessments, analysing results, and contributing to diagnostic reports for individuals suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role requires expertise in autism assessments and a deep understanding of ASD.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Administering ADOS or ADI-R assessments to individuals suspected of having ASD in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.
- Interpreting and analysing assessment results to identify ASD characteristics and traits.
- Collaborating with other professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and therapists, to contribute to comprehensive diagnostic evaluations.
- Preparing detailed reports of assessment findings, including clear recommendations for further evaluation or intervention.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments and ensure data confidentiality.
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and caregivers to explain assessment processes and results.
- Staying current with best practices, research, and advancements in the field of autism assessment and intervention.
- Participating in team meetings, case reviews, and professional development activities as required.
- Adhering to all organisational policies, ethical guidelines, and regulations related to the assessment and diagnosis of ASD.
Requirements:
- ADOS OR ADI-R Training or Both.
- Must be a Qualified Nurse on NMC or HCPC registered Occupational Therapist or HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist.
- Experience conducting ADOS and ADI-R assessments with individuals of various ages.
- Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and related conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in conducting assessments and preparing reports.
