Childrens Home Manager

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Home Manager to lead and manage a children's home in Liverpool. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people, ensuring they receive the highest standards of care and support.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading, motivating, and managing a team of care staff to deliver high-quality care.
  • Ensuring that all staff are appropriately trained, supported, and supervised.
  • Fostering a positive and supportive environment for both staff and children.
  • Ensuring that each child’s needs are met through personalised care plans.
  • Promoting the emotional, physical, and social development of the children.
  • Advocating for the children’s best interests and well-being.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records and reports as required by regulatory bodies.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and safety of the home.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with parents, carers, social workers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in social work, childcare, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing a children’s home or a similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.

Notes:

  • Contract duration: Permanent
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
