Housekeeper

Job purpose:

• To be responsible for the location being clean, pleasant and safe for customers to live in.
• To also provide an effective and efficient laundry service, delivering a high level of customer care and encourage customer independence and choice to support happy living for the years ahead.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Carry out all housekeeping tasks as required by the location.
• Wash, dry and Iron customers clothes and linen, maintain an organised washing system.
• Carry out equipment checks and report concerns regarding equipment to line manager.
• Support in the organisation and implementation of a stock ordering, monitoring and control system.
• Carry out minor repairs and labelling of clothing as requested by customers.
• Provide extra support with care delivery (excluding personal care) as directed by senior team (Homes only).
• Ensure cleaning products are used effectively and instructions are followed.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Identify and report any signs of abuse.

Requirements:

• Previous cleaning experience and knowledge is desirable.
• Customer service level 2.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
• Time management.
• Strong interpersonal and empathy skills.
• Ability to prioritise and plan around customer needs.
