Housing Management Coordinator

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Housing Management Coordinator to join the team in Exeter. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management of a housing portfolio, ensuring the highest standards of service for residents. This role involves coordinating housing operations, managing tenant relationships, and ensuring compliance with housing regulations and policies.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring and maintaining the condition of properties, coordinating with maintenance teams and contractors to ensure timely repairs and upkeep.
  • Managing the leasing process, including preparing and renewing lease agreements, conducting move-in and move-out inspections, and ensuring compliance with lease terms.
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant housing regulations, health and safety standards, and internal policies. Keeping up-to-date with changes in housing law and regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of tenant interactions, property conditions, and financial transactions. Preparing regular reports for management and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, addressing tenant issues and complaints with empathy and efficiency. Foster a positive living environment and enhance tenant satisfaction.
  • Supporting community initiatives and events to promote a positive living environment and build strong relationships with residents.
  • Performing administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and correspondence. Ensure that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in property management, housing, or business administration is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in housing management or a related field is essential.
  • Experience in a coordinating role or managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Understanding of housing laws and regulations. Familiarity with property management best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
