Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing comprehensive consultation and guidance to individuals seeking housing options remotely via phone, email, or video conferencing.
- Conducting thorough assessments of clients' housing needs, preferences, and eligibility for various housing programs and services.
- Offering clear and accurate information regarding available housing options, including social housing, private renting, supported housing, and homeownership schemes.
- Advocating on behalf of clients to housing providers, local authorities, and other relevant agencies to secure suitable housing solutions.
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to provide additional support services, such as financial assistance, legal aid, or counselling, as needed.
- Maintaining accurate records of client interactions, assessments, and outcomes in compliance with data protection and confidentiality regulations.
- Collaborating with colleagues and external partners to streamline processes, share resources, and enhance the effectiveness of housing support services.
Requirements:
- A relevant professional qualification in housing management, social work, or a related field is desirable.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the housing sector or social services field.
- Strong understanding of housing policies, regulations, and available support services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically.
- Proven ability to assess needs, identify solutions, and navigate complex situations effectively.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for remote communication and documentation.
