Sustainable Housing Support Worker

Job description

Role Overview:

As a Housing Support Worker, you will provide housing support services across three distinct supported housing projects. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, proactive, collaborative, highly motivated, and ready for a new challenge. Strong communication and creative problem-solving skills, along with a passion for helping vulnerable people live independent and fulfilling lives, are essential.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering proactive support to applicants with multiple and complex support needs to help them access and maintain accommodation.
  • Managing a caseload and ensure all aspects of support work are carried out in accordance with legislation, safeguarding, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners to improve outcomes for applicants with multiple and complex support needs.
  • Ensuring all service users’ documentation is relevant and updated, and accurately enter data into various IT systems.
  • Contributing to efficient service delivery as an individual and as part of a team, in accordance with local policies, procedures, and legislation (including shift work where required).

Requirements:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Drive and passion for helping vulnerable people live independent and fulfilling lives.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to address complex support needs.
  • Good knowledge of welfare, housing, and homelessness practice.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
