Intensive Housing Management Worker

Job description

As an Intensive Housing Management Worker, you will be at the forefront of addressing the complex housing needs of individuals and families in Colchester. You will work closely with clients facing challenging circumstances, providing intensive support to help them secure and maintain stable housing.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of clients' housing needs and challenges.
  • Developing and implementing individualised support plans to address barriers to stable housing.
  • Advocating on behalf of clients with housing authorities, landlords, and other relevant agencies.
  • Assisting clients in navigating housing policies, procedures, and applications.
  • Providing immediate support and intervention for clients facing housing crises.
  • Collaborating with emergency services and other organisations to address urgent housing needs.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records, documenting interactions and progress.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to coordinate comprehensive support services.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with local housing providers, agencies, and community partners.
  • Staying informed about housing resources and opportunities to enhance support for clients.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of housing policies, regulations, and support services.
  • Proven experience in providing intensive support to individuals facing housing challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
