Learning Disability Social Worker

Job description

We are looking for a dedicated Social Worker who is passionate about delivering the best possible care and support to individuals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a forward-thinking team, working in partnership with families, carers, and independent providers to provide a person-centred approach to individuals with learning disabilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring service users’ needs are met
  • Providing mentoring and coaching to junior colleagues when necessary
  • Understanding of how to complete Mental Capacity Assessments for service users with a learning disability.
  • Developing positive relationships with service users and their families/carers as well as local services

Requirements:

  • Social Work degree
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Enhanced DBS, dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
  • Excellent knowledge of theoretical Social Work concepts and practices.
  • Minimum of 1+years in a previous similar role
