Job description

Archer Resourcing have a great opportunity for a MASH Social Worker to join the dedicated team in Slough.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in the MASH team in the Referral & Assessment Service. MASH, the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub, is the first point of contact for all safeguarding concerns in relation to children and young people. Mash works with different agencies in order to work together to identify any possible risks towards a child, and to prevent the risk from occurring. You will be working to make the right decisions, to ensure the best possible outcomes for vulnerable children.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Promoting and safeguarding the wellbeing and interests of children/young person at all times
  • Managing an independent workload, ensuring legislative requirements are met to a high standard
  • Thoroughly assess, analyse, plan, and implement suitable interventions for complex cases
  • Produce concise, well-structured assessments, plans and reports
  • Maintain accurate, up to date, evidence-based records safely and confidentially
  • Developing effective relationships through meaningful and purposeful direct work
  • Being responsible for own professional development
  • Identifying resources where required and available to promote individuals’ wellbeing

Requirements:

  • Social Work Degree or equivalent
  • Social Work England registered
  • Experience of working as a Social Worker, working with children and families
  • Knowledge and application of the legal framework and assessment process in Children’s Social Care
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to a range of audiences
