MASH Social Worker

Job description

Archer Resourcing have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join the MASH team in Wolverhampton.

As a MASH Social Worker, you will be the first point of contact for all potential safeguarding concerns in relation to children. You will be working in partnership with other agencies to identify risks and needs of children at the earliest possible point, responding with the most effective and joined up actions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Promoting and safeguarding the wellbeing and interests of children at all times.
  • Managing an independent workload, ensuring legislative requirements are met to a high standard and within required timescales.
  • Thoroughly assess, critically analyse, plan and implement suitable interventions for complex cases.
  • Producing concise, well-structured assessments, plans and reports.
  • Maintaining accurate, up to date, evidence-based records safely and confidentially.
  • Working with children and young people to develop effective relationships.
  • Working in partnership with colleagues and other agencies to deliver accessible and effective services.
  • Being responsible for own professional development keeping pace with national, regional and local policy initiatives, attending training to maintain professional development and ensuring the receipt of regular supervision.
  • Participating in and learning from routine observation, review and auditing activity conducted by the Team Manager and Assistant Team Manager.

Requirements:

  • Social Work Degree or equivalent.
  • Post qualifying experience as a Social Worker, working with children and families.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Current UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Knowledge and experience of applying the statutory framework underpinning Social Work.
  • Ability to gather and assess information to inform judgement in complex situations and in response to challenge, clear reporting and recording analysis.
