Mental Health Recovery Worker

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Mental Health Recovery Worker to join a dedicated team in Devon. In this role, you will provide crucial support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, helping them to achieve their recovery goals and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Offering practical and emotional support to individuals with mental health conditions, assisting them in managing their daily activities and achieving their recovery goals.
  • Developing and implementing individualised care plans in collaboration with clients and other professionals, ensuring that support is tailored to each person’s needs.
  • Providing immediate support and intervention during times of crisis, helping clients to manage and de-escalate challenging situations.
  • Tracking and documenting clients' progress, maintaining accurate records and providing regular updates to the care team.
  • Assisting clients in developing life skills and coping strategies that support their recovery and promote independence.
  • Working closely with other healthcare professionals, community organisations, and family members to ensure a coordinated approach to care.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in mental health support or a related field.
  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals with mental health challenges, demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding.
  • The ability to handle complex and sometimes challenging situations with composure and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain accurate records.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
