Job description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of patients’ health conditions and medical history.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing individualised care plans.
  • Prescribing medications and treatments within the scope of practice and in accordance with clinical guidelines.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of prescribed treatments and make necessary adjustments.
  • Providing patients with comprehensive information about their medications, including potential side effects and interactions.
  • Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, to ensure cohesive patient care.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
  • Educating and supporting patients in managing their health conditions and medications.
  • Staying informed about the latest developments in pharmacology, prescribing practices, and healthcare regulations.

Requirements:

  • A relevant professional qualification (e.g., registered nurse, pharmacist) with additional training and certification as a Non-Medical Prescriber.
  • Current registration with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g., NMC, GPhC).
  • Proven experience in a clinical setting, with experience in prescribing medications.
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmacology, prescribing practices, and relevant healthcare regulations.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
