Job description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Non-Medical Prescriber to join a dedicated healthcare team in Luton. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and prescribing medications for patients within their scope of practice.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients to identify health needs and determine appropriate treatment options.
  • Utilising clinical expertise to develop individualised care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Prescribing medications and treatments within the agreed scope of practice and in accordance with current guidelines.
  • Monitoring and evaluating patient outcomes, adjusting prescriptions as necessary to ensure optimal care.
  • Providing information and advice to patients and their families about medications, side effects, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Supporting patients in managing their conditions effectively through education and counselling.
  • Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all consultations, prescriptions, and interventions.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse, Pharmacist, or other healthcare professional with a recognised qualification in non-medical prescribing.
  • Experience in prescribing and managing medications in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a community or primary care setting.
  • Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions confidently.
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
