Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Establishing contact with rough sleepers and beggars: working within Cambridge City protocols and partnerships to rapidly assist individuals through street outreach shifts at a variety of times and a range of locations in Cambridge City.
- Identifying and targeting Individuals who are rough sleeping, including those unwilling to engage with services by providing assertive outreach.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records on service users.
- Working closely with drug and alcohol agencies to ensure that substance misusers and problem drinkers are able to access treatment.
- Working proactively to ensure that service users have access to ongoing healthcare.
- Working closely with the Housing Services and Supported Housing Providers across the city in order to maximise opportunities for service users’ group.
- Complying with workplace policies relevant to work practices to ensure a healthy and safe environment is maintained.
- Undertaking assertive outreach work to identify, engage and deliver interventions to individuals who are actively involved in anti-social street activity.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience of working with individuals with multiple and/or complex needs and demonstrate a determined approach to finding solutions.
- An understanding of the needs of rough sleepers and beggars.
- Knowledge of Supported Housing.
- The ability to work calmly with challenging individuals and situations.
- The ability to work unsocial hours as and when required.
- The ability to communicate confidently and effectively.
- Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
