Working as a Recovery Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting individuals through their recovery journey, providing tailored interventions, guidance, and support to help them achieve their recovery goals. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective care.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting assessments to identify the needs and strengths of clients, and develop personalised recovery plans.
- Providing one-on-one support to clients, including counselling, coaching, and mentoring.
- Facilitating group sessions and workshops focused on recovery, life skills, and well-being.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, healthcare providers, and peer support workers, to deliver holistic care.
- Monitoring and reviewing clients' progress, adjusting recovery plans as needed to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records of all client interactions, interventions, and progress.
- Supporting clients in developing coping strategies, resilience, and self-management skills.
- Advocating for clients’ needs and rights within the healthcare system and community services.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and training in substance misuse, mental health, or recovery practice.
- Previous experience in a similar role, particularly working with individuals in recovery from substance misuse and/or mental health issues.
- Strong understanding of recovery principles, substance misuse, mental health, and related social issues.
- Excellent communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
