Job description

As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in providing one-on-one support and guidance to individuals in recovery. You will work collaboratively with service users, colleagues, and external partners to deliver tailored recovery plans and interventions that promote independence, resilience, and well-being.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing personalised, holistic support to service users to help them achieve their recovery goals.
  • Developing, reviewing, and implementing structured recovery plans in collaboration with service users, considering their unique needs and aspirations.
  • Acting as a strong advocate for service users, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights upheld.
  • Planning and facilitating group sessions, workshops, and activities that foster community, skills development, and peer support.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with external agencies, healthcare providers, and community organisations to support service users.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.
  • Providing immediate support and guidance during moments of crisis, de-escalating situations where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals in recovery from addiction or mental health challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • A non-judgmental, empathetic approach to service delivery.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
