Registered Manager - Residential Children's Home

Job description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading a team to provide trauma-informed, nurturing care that supports children in developing a strong sense of self.
  • Working closely with Break’s Therapeutic Team, who provide two days of weekly support, offering practical tools and advice to enhance trauma-informed practices.
  • Supporting professional growth through access to Break’s extensive specialist workforce training programs.
  • Collaborating with young people, their families, colleagues, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
  • Developing and implementing care plans that reflect the needs and goals of the children.
  • Ensuring professional standards are consistently maintained and aligned with the clients values and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in child care, social work, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing or supervising in a residential childcare setting.
  • Strong background in working with children and young people, particularly those with complex needs or trauma histories.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing a team.
  • In-depth understanding of trauma-informed care and attachment theories.
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding policies and practices.
  • Ability to create and implement care plans tailored to the needs of children.
  • A passion for contributing to the personal development and well-being of young people.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
