Remote Specialist Non-Medical Prescriber

Job description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting comprehensive remote assessments to diagnose ADHD, considering medical history, behavioural observations, and patient input.
  • Prescribing and managing medication therapies for patients diagnosed with ADHD, ensuring adherence to best practices and patient safety.
  • Monitoring and evaluating treatment effectiveness through regular follow-up appointments and adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educating patients and their families on ADHD management strategies, medication usage, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, counsellors, and educators, to coordinate care and optimise patient outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR) and documentation of patient encounters in compliance with organisational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Staying informed about current research, developments, and guidelines related to ADHD diagnosis, treatment, and prescribing practices.
  • Participating in professional development activities, such as continuing education courses and workshops, to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • Valid V300 non-medical prescribing qualification.
  • Proven experience in independently prescribing medications for ADHD.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex medical information in clear, understandable terms.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in managing patient care and documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a remote environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
