Residential Team Leader

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Residential Team Leader to join a team in Ruthin. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential care facility, ensuring that residents receive the highest quality of care and support. You will lead and motivate a team of care staff, fostering a positive and supportive environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervising and supporting a team of care staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure high standards of care.
  • Conducting regular team meetings and training sessions to promote professional development and teamwork.
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of individualised care plans for residents.
  • Ensuring that all care is delivered in line with regulatory standards and organisational policies.
  • Monitoring the physical and emotional well-being of residents, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive environment that promotes residents' independence and quality of life.
  • Maintaining accurate records of care delivery, incidents, and other relevant documentation.
  • Acting as a point of contact for families, addressing any queries or concerns regarding care provision.

Requirements:

  • 1-year experience in residential childcare.
  • Level 3 Children & Young People Award or equivalent.
  • Experience of working within and leading a team.
  • Ability to work unsociable hours (evenings, nights and weekends).
  • Willingness and ability to be able to be part of a Management on call system.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
