Senior Practice Development Lead

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Practice Development Lead to directly support the way services are delivered within a youth service setting. The Senior Practice Development Lead will be responsible for leading on arrangements related to quality assurance, workforce development and learning reviews across Young Tower Hamlets and Youth Justice Service as part of achieving the best standard of service delivery for children and young people.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Director and Head of Service on the Quality Assurance workstream ensuring all activities and plans are scoped and being delivered.
  • To develop, embed and review a quality assurance framework incorporating universal, detached, participation, sports, targeted youth support and youth justice.
  • Developing and implementing a new child centred quality assurance framework and related activities to ensure the quality of youth work delivery is consistently good across all deliverables as well as driving excellence.
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive audit tools informed by the National Youth Agency as well as toolkits for youth work practitioners to use as part of their day-to-day practice.
  • Reviewing pathways and processes to ensure there is alignment to provide consistency in youth work practice.
  • Creating a training and development approach to the workforce to ensure that the new ways of working are firmly embedded in day-to-day practice.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Advanced qualifications in practice development, quality assurance, leadership, or a similar field are desirable.
  • Significant experience working within youth services.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and reviewing quality assurance frameworks, particularly within a youth service context.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and improve current practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
