As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in Chevington. Your focus will be on fostering a safe, supportive environment that promotes independence, personal development, and well-being. You will also lead and support a team of Support Workers, ensuring best practices are followed and high standards of care are maintained.
Requirements:
- Providing high-quality, person-centred support to individuals, assisting with daily activities, personal care, and social inclusion.
- Implementing and monitoring individualised care plans, ensuring each person’s specific needs and goals are met.
- Conducting sleep-in shifts as required, ensuring a safe and supportive environment overnight.
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of Support Workers, fostering a collaborative, positive work environment.
- Conducting regular one-to-one supervision and annual appraisals with team members to promote growth and development.
- Providing on-the-job guidance and training to ensure best practices in care provision are adhered to.
- Maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding, actively promoting a safe environment and responding appropriately to any safeguarding concerns.
- Monitoring and addressing risks associated with service users and staff, implementing risk assessments and action plans when necessary.
Requirements:
- Qualification in Health & Social Care or a related field.
- Proven experience in a care or support setting, ideally within a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and risk management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.

- Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
Notes:
- Employment type: Permanent
- Salary: £30,578 - £31,510, per annum, depending on qualifications and including 5 sleep-ins per month at £64
