We are looking for a dedicated Support Coordinator (Waking Night Worker) to provide overnight support on a rota basis, including weekends. This role involves coordinating and developing Level 1 and Level 2 Support Workers while also supporting volunteers, mentors, and hosts. The Support Coordinator will play a key role in inducting, guiding, and mentoring new colleagues and volunteers, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work overnight on a rota basis, including weekends, to ensure continuous support.
- Coordinate and develop Level 1 and Level 2 Support Workers, offering guidance and oversight.
- Support and manage volunteers, mentors, and hosts, including those involved in befriending and peer support programs.
- Provide induction, training, and guidance to new colleagues and volunteers, ensuring smooth integration into the team.
- Foster a supportive and efficient working environment, promoting best practices.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies.
- Work collaboratively with management and external agencies to ensure quality service delivery.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience in support work, mentoring, or team coordination.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with staff, volunteers, and external partners.
- Understanding of safeguarding, mentoring, and peer support programs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an overnight setting.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in Social Care, Mentoring, Leadership, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) required.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.K.
