Job description

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join a committed team in Norwich. As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with varying needs, helping them to live as independently as possible. This role requires patience, empathy, and a commitment to improving the quality of life for those in your care.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  • Supporting clients in maintaining their independence and well-being.
  • Helping clients participate in community activities and social events.
  • Providing companionship and building positive relationships with clients.
  • Following health and safety policies and procedures, including proper handling of medical equipment and emergency protocols.
  • Monitoring and reporting any changes in clients' health or behaviour to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including daily logs and incident reports.
  • Communicating effectively with other team members and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
  • Understanding of the principles of care and support for individuals with various needs.
  • Compassionate and caring nature.
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
