Children with Disabilities Social Worker

Archer Resourcing have a great new CWD Social Worker position available in Slough.

The team in Slough are looking for a dedicated individual to join them in order to deliver exceptional support and guidance to children with disabilities. As part of this role, the successful candidate will safeguard vulnerable individuals, through providing high quality care and support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Promote and safeguard the wellbeing and best interests of a child at all times
• Managing an independent workload, ensuring legislative requirements are met and are within the required timescale
• Thoroughly assess, analyse, plan, and implement suitable interventions for complex cases that fulfil statutory regulations
• Produce concise, well-structured, assessments, plans and reports, clearly recording and reporting analysis and judgements
• Maintain accurate, up to date, evidence-based records safely and confidentially
• Ensure all interventions are conducted within an anti-discriminatory framework, and take into account issues such as race, gender, sexuality etc
• Be responsible for own individual performance in line with national standards, and team specific performance indicators
• Work with children, young people and families/carers to develop effective relationships

Requirements:

• Social Work Degree or equivalent
• Past experience of working as a social worker, working with children and families
• Social Work England Registered
• Knowledge and understanding of the values and principles underpinning the involvement of children, young people, and families/carers
• Excellent communication skills
• Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months- on the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today
• Knowledge of the legal framework and assessment process in Children’s Social Care
• Ability to manage and prioritise own workload independently
• Knowledge and application of social work interventions
• Ability to gather and assess information to inform judgement in complex situations
• Understands and has experience of the statutory framework underpinning social work
• UK driving license and access to a vehicle
