Children's Social Worker - Fostering Team

Archer Resourcing has an excellent opportunity for a qualified children's social worker to join a fostering team in Durham.

The fostering service is responsible for the recruitment, training, and support of foster carers across the county, both mainstream foster carers and family and friends foster carers. The service has been through service wide restructure to maximise the quality of service to Children, Young People and their carers and ensure that good outcomes for children are at the centre of all of our practice.

Responsibilities:

There is a current vacancy for a full-time and permanent Social Worker within the Connected Carers Team. The focus of the Team is to provide Initial Screenings/Viabilities; Form C and SGO Assessments on prospective connected carers.

Requirements:

• Degree in social work or equivalent social work qualification, e.g. Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work (PDDipSW) Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW), Diploma in Social Work (DipSW), Certificate in Social Services (CSS)
• Current Social Work England Registration
• Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months- on the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today
• Experience within foster care is advantageous
