Family Support Worker

Archer Resourcing have a great new Family Support Worker position available in Falkirk!

The team in Falkirk are seeking to recruit a passionate individual who is dedicated to providing adequate guidance to families in need of emotional support. You will be working in partnership with children and their families to address any issues that they may have that prevents them from attending school regularly.

Responsibilities include, but isn’t limited to:

• Understanding and analysing school attendance/ late coming data
• Liaise with the Pastoral and Pupil Support teams to implement a range of appropriate actions and alternatives to promote the attendance of individuals
• Investigating the underlying cause of attendance issues and proactively target intervention appropriately
• Visiting families in order to pursue concerns about attendance and other welfare issues
• Supporting young people to achieve core qualifications in literacy and numeracy and liaise with pastoral and pupil support teams to secure a positive destination for each child
• Prepare and record reports, correspondence and documentation relating to individual casework
• Attending Team Around the Child (TAC) meetings where and when appropriate

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1+ years in a previous similar role
• Full U.K. driving licence, as well as access to own vehicle
• Excellent communication skills
