Job description
As a Remote ADHD Nurse Prescriber, you will play a key role in our commitment to enhancing mental health care accessibility. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, diagnose, and prescribe medication for individuals with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) through remote consultations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting thorough assessments of clients with ADHD through virtual consultations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Prescribing and managing medications for ADHD, considering individual patient needs, medical history, and potential contraindications.
- Providing ongoing monitoring and follow-up appointments to assess treatment efficacy, adjust medications as needed, and address any side effects or concerns.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including therapists, psychologists, and primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive care for individuals with ADHD.
- Educating clients and their families about ADHD, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Staying informed about the latest developments in ADHD treatment, medications, and evidence-based practices.
- Fostering a supportive and collaborative virtual healthcare environment to ensure a positive patient experience.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a valid active nursing license.
- Experience prescribing medications for ADHD.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients in a virtual environment.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote healthcare team.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines governing remote prescribing and telehealth services.
- Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
