We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 ADHD Assessor or Band 7 ADHD Nurse Prescriber to join a dedicated team in Birmingham. This role involves conducting ADHD assessments and supporting individuals with ADHD through diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting comprehensive ADHD assessments, including history-taking and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing personalised care plans for individuals with ADHD.
  • Prescribing and monitoring ADHD medications in line with national guidelines and prescribing competencies.
  • Providing psychoeducation and advice to patients, families, and carers about ADHD and its management.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and support staff, to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and adhere to professional and organisational standards.
  • Participating in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with valid NMC registration or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in ADHD assessment and treatment.
  • Prescribing qualification (for Nurse Prescriber role).
  • Strong clinical knowledge of ADHD, its presentations, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.

Pay:

  • Day Shifts: £41.00 per hour
  • Nights / Saturday: £54.00 per hour
  • Sundays / Bank Holidays: £67.00 per hour
