Are you an experienced clinical leader passionate about guiding a dedicated team in the behavioral health field? We are seeking a dynamic Clinical Director to oversee operations at a detox and residential treatment facility specializing in substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions.

This leadership role offers a rewarding opportunity to manage clinical services, ensure high-quality patient care, and drive program excellence within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight of all clinical services and therapeutic programming.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing, accreditation standards, and third-party payer requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor clinical policies, procedures, and treatment protocols.
  • Supervise and manage a team of clinicians, therapists, and support staff, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, strategic planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Manage on-call responsibilities for clinical consultations and emergencies.
  • Oversee clinical documentation, ensuring timely completion and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate clinical meetings, including daily staffing reviews and weekly treatment planning sessions.
  • Provide group therapy scheduling and cover case assignments as needed.
  • Deliver clinical supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations for direct reports.
  • Partner with leadership to manage annual budgets, staffing patterns, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct utilization reviews and participate in quality assurance initiatives.
  • Support professional development through training and continuing education programs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology) from an accredited institution.
  • Active, unrestricted clinical license in the state of employment (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in addiction services, with a strong background in substance use disorder treatment.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a clinical setting.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems and maintaining clinical documentation.
  • Knowledge of ASAM criteria, motivational interviewing techniques, and evidence-based treatment models for co-occurring disorders.
  • Strong understanding of psychotropic medications and their impacts on client care.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings and facilitate trainings.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $90,000 - $120,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
