Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. In this role, you will provide direct support, counseling, and advocacy to individuals and families facing mental health, emotional, and social challenges. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care plans and connect clients to necessary resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Assessment and Counseling:
    • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for individuals, families, and groups.
    • Provide therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address client needs.
  • Case Management and Advocacy:
    • Coordinate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
    • Advocate for clients to access services such as healthcare, housing, and employment.
    • Monitor and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
  • Crisis Intervention:
    • Respond to clients in crisis and provide immediate support.
    • Develop safety plans and offer resources for ongoing care.
    • Collaborate with emergency services when necessary.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and evaluate client progress.
    • Communicate clearly with clients, families, and team members.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    • Maintain accurate, timely records of client interactions, assessments, and interventions.
    • Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Professional Development:
    • Engage in ongoing training and professional growth activities.
    • Stay updated on best practices, legal requirements, and emerging trends in social work.
  • Other Duties:
    • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support program goals and client well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Active Massachusetts LCSW license (Required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or community-based setting.
  • Proficiency in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with community resources and social services in the Cambridge area.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and ability to pass a background check
