Approved Mental Health Professional

Working as an Approved Mental Health Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals under the Mental Health Act 1983 and related legislation. This position is office-based with community working, requiring the candidate to be in the area while on shift.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Fulfilling duties under the Mental Health Act (MHA) 1983, including MHA triage decisions at the point of referral.
• Conducting assessments and considerations under Section 13(1) of the MHA in a supportive duty environment.
• Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and interventions.
• Ensuring compliance with all statutory and local authority guidelines.
• Travelling throughout Devon as required to support the needs of service users.

Requirements:

• Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) Qualification
• Must have experience in taking MHA triage decisions at the point of referral.
• Must have experience in community-based mental health assessments and interventions.
• Must be able to to travel throughout Devon.
• Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
