We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join a team in Beckton. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with mental health needs. You will work in a supportive and dynamic environment, providing high-quality care and support to patients while adhering to the highest professional standards.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating individualised care plans for patients.
- Administering medication and treatments in accordance with NMC guidelines and organisational policies.
- Promoting recovery and rehabilitation through therapeutic interventions and engagement.
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, psychologists, and support staff.
- Acting as a key worker for designated patients, ensuring their needs are met holistically.
- Monitoring and managing risks associated with patient care, including mental health crises and challenging behaviour's.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring patient records are updated timely and accurately.
- Acting as an advocate for patients, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
- Providing emotional support to patients and their families, fostering a safe and trusting environment.
Requirements:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification and valid NMC registration.
- Proven experience in a mental health setting, ideally within inpatient or community care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build therapeutic relationships.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine commitment to improving mental health outcomes.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as required.
- Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
