Band 6 Occupational Therapist

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a Community Children's team in Hampshire. The successful candidate will provide specialised occupational therapy services to children, working collaboratively with families, schools, and healthcare professionals to support children's development and well-being.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's needs and develop individualised care plans.
  • Providing therapy to support children's physical, sensory, and cognitive development.
  • Collaborating with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to implement and monitor therapy interventions.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Participating in regular team meetings and contributing to the development of service provision.
  • Providing advice, education, and support to families and caregivers.
  • Staying updated with current best practices and advancements in paediatric occupational therapy.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Proven experience working as a paediatric occupational therapist, preferably in a community setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.

Notes:

  • Contract: Part-time to full-time, a minimum of 18 hours per week school hours.
  • Weekly Pay: £32 - £36 Per Hour D.O.E - Competitive rates via Umbrella.
