As an Early Years Educator, you will play a pivotal role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for children aged 1 to 4 years. Working collaboratively with a team of educators, you will contribute to the development and implementation of age-appropriate curricula, ensuring that each child's unique needs are met.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood educational best practices.
- Creating a stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction.
- Conducting ongoing assessments of individual children's development and progress.
- Providing feedback to parents and caregivers on children's achievements and areas for growth.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where children feel safe, respected, and valued.
- Implementing behaviour management strategies that promote positive social interactions.
- Working closely with colleagues to plan and coordinate activities, share ideas, and ensure a cohesive learning experience.
- Communicating effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on children's activities, progress, and upcoming events.
- Maintaining a safe and clean learning environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Early Years Education and Childcare qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with children aged 2 to 5 in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Passion for creating a positive and supportive learning environment for young children.
