Working as a Talk Therapist, you will provide virtual counselling and support to individuals across the UK who are dealing with neurodevelopmental challenges.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting individual and group therapy sessions remotely, utilising video conferencing platforms, to address the emotional and behavioural aspects of neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand clients' neurodevelopmental challenges, providing accurate diagnoses and creating tailored treatment plans.
- Developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans to address clients' specific needs.
- Working collaboratively with clients to enhance their self-awareness, coping skills, and resilience, fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship.
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to clients and their families, utilising virtual communication tools to maintain regular contact and monitor progress.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential client records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for clients.
Requirements:
- A degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Must be accredited in CBT, DBT, EMDR or Psychotherapy.
- Must have Neurodevelopmental expertise.
- Well-established knowledge and understanding about developmental speech and language disorders and communication disorders associated with complex conditions and emotional/behavioural disorders.
