As a Nursery Nurse, you will be supporting the Early Years Officer in developing and inspiring a high level of care, learning, play and education for children aged 1 year to rising 5 year olds.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Taking responsibility for developing close professional relationships with an identified group of children and their parents to support children's emotional well being and learning.
- Acting as a key person and taking responsibility for working with groups of children.
- Taking a role in the planning and delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
- Making observations and assessments of children's play, progress and behaviour.
- Fostering children's language development, and where appropriate, encouraging and supporting the use of home languages and other communication aids.
- Supporting children with a variety of Special Education Needs and Disability within the centre.
- Implementing any appropriate actions and targets set at specific meetings for their key children.
Requirements:
- Recognised education/childcare or Early Years qualification (NVQ Level 3).
- Experience of working in partnership with parents and other professionals.
- Knowledge of relevant childcare and education legislation, regulations and procedures.
- Ability to plan, implement, record and review all aspects of work.
- Experience in providing a planned, integrated curriculum which advocates play based learning.
- Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
