Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join the team in Birmingham. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for improving patient care and a commitment to excellence in occupational therapy practice.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing thorough evaluations of clients' occupational performance and sensory integration needs.
  • Creating personalised therapy plans tailored to each client's unique requirements and goals.
  • Utilising your expertise as a Level 3 Sensory Integration Practitioner to deliver effective interventions.
  • Delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to clients, ensuring optimal care and outcomes.
  • Working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic and coordinated care.
  • Engaging in ongoing training and supervision to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation of all assessments, treatment plans, and therapy sessions.
  • Offering guidance and education to clients and their families to enhance therapy outcomes and support home-based interventions.
  • Advocating for mental health awareness and contribute to community outreach programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Minimum of a Level 3 Sensory Integration Practitioner qualification.
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic practices, patient care, and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
