Occupational Therapist

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join the Community Children department on a locum ADHOC basis. Based in Stockport, Manchester, this full-time position requires providing essential therapeutic interventions to children within the community setting.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting occupational therapy assessments to evaluate children's needs and abilities.
  • Developing individualised treatment plans and goals in collaboration with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve children's functional abilities and independence in daily activities.
  • Providing ongoing monitoring and evaluation of therapy progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and support for children and their families.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation, including assessment reports, progress notes, and treatment plans.
  • Participating in professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a healthcare or community setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Commitment to providing client-centred care and promoting independence and well-being.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel within the community.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.

Notes:

  • Department: Community - Children
  • Contract: Locum ADHOC - 9 am – 5 pm
  • Shift Pattern: 09:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Weekly Pay: Competitive rates via Umbrella
  • Pay Rate: £40 Per Hour (Therapy) + an additional £200 - £220 Per Assessment + Report
  • Mileage Payment: Get paid to explore - 0.45p per mile!
