Job description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Occupational Therapist (Band 6) to join a multidisciplinary team in Tonbridge. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred care, working with individuals across various clinical settings to help them regain independence and improve their quality of life. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced occupational therapist to further their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients with a wide range of physical, cognitive, and mental health conditions, developing individualised treatment plans.
  • Implementing effective rehabilitation programs aimed at promoting recovery, independence, and improved daily living skills.
  • Collaborating with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to set realistic and achievable goals.
  • Delivering tailored therapeutic interventions, including adaptive techniques, assistive devices, and environmental modifications.
  • Coordinating care across multi-disciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and social workers, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in line with professional standards and regulations.
  • Providing education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on self-management strategies and rehabilitation exercises.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy (HCPC Registered).
  • Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD).
  • Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working with a diverse caseload in areas such as physical rehabilitation, mental health, or social care.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
