Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our clients team in Surrey. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children’s occupational performance and developmental needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child's unique requirements.
  • Use evidence-based practices to deliver effective interventions aimed at enhancing children’s development and independence.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care.
  • Provide education and support to families to facilitate home-based interventions and promote the child’s progress.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and therapy sessions.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in paediatric occupational therapy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Experience in paediatric occupational therapy, with a strong understanding of child development and therapeutic practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast-tracked through our recruitment process today.
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
