We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Music Teacher to provide PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) cover, ensuring the continuation of high-quality music education to students in reception to year 6.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Planning and delivering inspiring music lessons for Key Stages 1 and 2, incorporating a variety of musical genres and activities.
- Covering PPA time for classroom teachers, ensuring the continuity of music education during their absence.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the music classroom, encouraging students' musical expression and creativity.
- Assessing and monitoring student progress in music, providing feedback to students and contributing to overall assessment procedures.
- Collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate music into cross-curricular projects and themes.
- Organising and participating in school concerts, assemblies, and other musical events, showcasing students' achievements.
- Maintaining a well-equipped and organised music classroom, managing resources effectively.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching music in a primary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for Music
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students in music education.
