Reception Class Teacher

Working as a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing the EYFS curriculum, ensuring a stimulating and supportive environment. The role involves collaborating with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to create a holistic and enriching educational experience for students.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Planning and delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of each child.
• Establishing positive relationships with parents, providing regular communication and opportunities for parental involvement in their child's learning.
• Assessing and monitoring individual student progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Organising and participating in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and transition activities to facilitate a smooth integration into Reception.
• Collaborating with teaching assistants and support staff to create an effective and supportive learning environment.
• Implementing effective behaviour management strategies, ensuring a positive and respectful classroom culture.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience in teaching Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Reception classes is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and its implementation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with young children and parents.
• Passion for early childhood education, fostering a love for learning in young children.
• Commitment to professional development.
