Job description

£47,800 - £58,240We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead a Children’s Home in South Yorkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care and compliance with all relevant legislation and Ofsted requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading and managing the children’s home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for the children and young people.
  • Overseeing and motivating a team of staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a cohesive and effective team environment.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and Ofsted requirements, maintaining high standards of care and safeguarding.
  • Developing and implementing care plans and risk assessments tailored to the individual needs of each child.
  • Maintaining effective communication with children, families, staff, and external agencies.
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively, ensuring the efficient operation of the home.
  • Handling challenges with patience, empathy, and professionalism, providing a supportive and nurturing environment for children and staff.
  • Demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to go the extra mile to meet the needs of the children and the home.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a residential environment
  • Proven experience in leading and motivating a staff team
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and Ofsted requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle challenges with patience and empathy
  • Flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving
