We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Sonographer to join a dedicated healthcare team in Bradford. As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound imaging procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your role will involve conducting scans, interpreting results, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performing diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis of a wide range of conditions.
- Providing accurate and high-resolution images for medical analysis and diagnosis.
- Preparing patients for ultrasound examinations, explaining procedures clearly to alleviate concerns.
- Positioning patients appropriately to obtain optimal images while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintaining and updating patient records in compliance with hospital or clinic policies.
- Adhering to radiation safety protocols and infection control procedures during examinations.
- Working with medical teams to interpret ultrasound results and contribute to patient care decisions.
Requirements:
- Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound or equivalent qualification.
- HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) or relevant registration.
- Proven experience in performing a wide range of ultrasound procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of ultrasound equipment and imaging techniques.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills, both with patients and healthcare professionals.
