Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Working as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be working in the Children and Family Community Service team. The successful candidate will be conducting comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language difficulties in children and adolescents. Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals, educators, and parents, you will develop personalised intervention plans to address the unique needs of each individual.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited too:

• Collaborating with a team to identify and support young people with speech, language, and communication needs.
• Assessing and treating children with various speech difficulties, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems.
• Providing advice and working closely with parents, pre-schools, and other professionals.
• Delivering training sessions to staff across different settings.

Requirements:

• Qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Experience in assessing and treating children with communication difficulties.
• Ability to provide supervision and peer review support.
• Accountability for professional actions.
