Speech and Language Therapist

Working as a Speech and Language Therapist, your main duties will entail conducting assessments on children to develop specialist speech and language therapy interventions. This involves employing your expertise to evaluating each child's unique communication needs and tailoring intervention strategies that are appropriate to their specific requirements for optimal development and improvement.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assessing, diagnosing, planning and delivering interventions for mainstream pupils with a range of speech and language needs.
• Providing appropriate specialist intervention and evaluated incomes.
• Maintaining appropriately detailed file notes on all aspects of support work.
• Undertaking all duties and interaction's with partnership's.
• Briefing the Language and Learning Support Team Manager on all matters which are likely to be subject to publicity whether positive or negative.
• Working flexibly and undertaking any other duties commensurate with the post as required by the Language and Learning Support Team Manager.

Requirements:

• Qualified Therapist.
• Registration with HCPC.
• A member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
• A clear understanding of safeguarding issues for staff working supportively in schools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
