As a Supply 1:1 Primary School Teacher, you will be responsible for providing tailored educational support to individual students, ensuring they receive personalised attention and assistance to meet their unique learning needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing one-on-one teaching and support to students, catering to their specific learning requirements, abilities, and interests.
- Collaborating with school staff, parents and relevant professionals to create and implement individualized education plans for students, addressing academic goals, behavioural objectives, and any special accommodations.
- Modifying teaching methods, materials, and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles, preferences, and abilities, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Maintaining open and effective communication with students, parents, caregivers, and school staff, providing updates on student progress, addressing concerns, and collaborating on strategies to support learning both at school and at home.
- Regularly assessing student progress and performance, identifying areas for improvement and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly to ensure continuous learning and development.
- Offering constructive feedback, encouragement, and guidance to students, reinforcing positive behaviours, fostering self-confidence, and promoting academic achievement.
Requirements:
- Degree in teaching.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Previous experience working with primary school-aged children, preferably in a one-on-one or small group setting.
- Strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and educational strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school environment.
