Job description

We are seeking an experienced Year 4 Teacher to join a dedicated team starting in September at a school in Kent. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students in Year 4, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional development.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 4 students.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure each student reaches their full potential.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student participation and fosters a love for learning.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Attending and actively participating in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance.
  • Communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to address any concerns or issues in a timely manner.
  • Adhering to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety regulations.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2, with a focus on Year 4.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Commitment to professional development.
  • Enthusiasm for incorporating technology into the classroom.

Notes:

  • Working hours: Full-time, 8:30 - 4:00
  • Salary: Dependent on experience
